Description

INTRODUCTION

The Bullitt Mustang has become one of the most iconic muscle cars of all time. Thanks to Steve McQueen and the legendary movie chase scene, its understated Highland Green paint, aggressive stance, and no-nonsense attitude have made it one of the most recognizable Mustangs ever. This '67 Fastback captures that spirit perfectly, benefiting from a ground-up restoration. The result is a car with timeless style and the unmistakable presence that has made the Bullitt legend endure for generations.

EXTERIOR

It is exceptionally straight, with precise panel fit and no signs of rust or damage. It was originally a factory green car and has been refinished in Highland Green Metallic, the iconic Bullitt color. The paint is evenly applied and polished to a deep, glossy finish that looks fantastic. The chrome and trim appear to have been replaced, including the window moldings, giving the car a fresh, crisp appearance. It features dual outside mirrors, the correct antenna. The weatherstrips and windshield were also replaced. The signature Bullitt style black grille, and a blacked out tail panel complete the look along with the 15-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels wrapped in performance tires for the perfect stance.

INTERIOR

It has been restored to a very clean, factory correct appearance. The seats have been recushioned and reupholstered, and it features the highly desirable optional fold down rear seat. In the back, all of the interior plastic trim is in excellent condition. The door panels, headliner, sun visors, dash pad, and carpet have all been replaced, giving the cabin a fresh, like new feel. Even the interior lights are working properly. The instrument panel has been restored and includes the factory tachometer. Completing the driver's view is a deluxe Shelby style steering wheel, and one of the highlights is the factory four-speed shifter rising from the floor. For modern convenience, it also features a Bluetooth stereo, with a pair of box speakers set on the rear deck.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT

It is just as impressive as the rest of the car- clean, fresh, detailed, and presented with a factory correct appearance. The engine bay features smooth, solid metal finished in semi-gloss black, complete with fresh decals, hardware, and attention to detail throughout. Power comes from a 289 A-code V8 that's been upgraded with an aluminum intake manifold, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and a slightly hotter camshaft for improved performance. It's dressed with Cobra finned valve covers and an open element air cleaner, giving it a tasteful performance look. All of the engine components are clean and well detailed, including the distributor, power steering system, power brakes, brackets, and pulleys. The radiator is in excellent condition with the proper fan shroud, reproduction hoses, and correct style clamps. The battery is properly secured and topped with an Autolite battery cover for an authentic appearance. Even the horns and windshield washer squirters are hooked up. It's the kind of engine compartment that's a pleasure to show off whenever the hood is raised.TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk is just as tidy as the rest of the car. Under the trunk lid, in the jamb, and inside everything is nicely painted and finished. You'll find a fresh reproduction trunk mat covering a clean, solid trunk floor. It also includes a clean spare tire and wheel, giving the compartment a neat appearance.UNDERSIDE: It has a clean, factory correct appearance. The floors, frame rails, and rockers are all solid, clean metal finished in the proper red oxide primer, just as they would have appeared from the factory. The steering and suspension have been rebuilt, along with the brake system, which features front disc brakes, rear drums, and a functioning emergency brake. The fuel system has been replaced, including the fuel tank. It has the correct GT dual exhaust with the factory crossover pipe and splitter tips exiting through the rear valance. Looking up at the drivetrain, everything is clean and proper, including the correct four-speed transmission. Out back is the original rear axle equipped with desirable 3.00 Positraction gears.SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and our reputation. Every vehicle goes through our service department where it is inspected, test driven, and we address the essentials before offering it for sale.CONCLUSION: This Mustang has the desirable A-code 289, a factory four-speed, the iconic Fastback body, and the timeless Bullitt styling. Add in the exceptional restoration, and you've got a car that's ready to enjoy from day one. If you've been waiting for the right '67 Fastback, stop looking- this is the one you should buy!Vehicles are displayed in a museum setting.
