It was ordered by Brenegen Ford Mercury of Sparta, Wisconsin and was sold to its 1st and only caretaker on November 11th, 2005. The caretaker kept the car in a climate-controlled garage for their entire ownership, enjoying the car occasionally and having all factory bulletins performed. After a little more than 20 years with the Ford GT, the odometer read just 4,711 miles.When the GT arrived at Canepa, the supercar was inspected from front to back. With only 4,711 miles since its original delivery, seeing the Ford GT in person was the true confirmation of its originality. The GT was put through the “Canepa Difference” process, giving it a thorough mechanical and cosmetic inspection. The paint finish is in like-new condition and looks as if the car was just shipped from Ford, and received full detail including a light foam pad polish of the Mark IV Red paint.
