A true classic hot rod is what this 1947 Ford Deluxe is all about. There isn't much added beyond the essentials-chrome smoothie wheels, rod-style high-rise side mirrors, hot rod–style pin striping around the body, and polished dual exhaust tips. It's simple, but it represents the late-1940s style extremely well. The flowing curves, wide stance, and the overall presence of the front end, make it look like you could probably fit a straight 12-cylinder diesel engine under the hood. But back in those days, it was mostly about cruising comfortably-and that's exactly what this Ford was built to do.This Ford's interior shows an aging but well-kept, original-appearing presentation. The interior features mostly tan and brown tones, except for the dashboard, which retains a shiny, original-style appearance. The gauges look original, the large steering wheel is period-correct, and centered in the dash is an original-appearing radio and clock. All in all, it's a very well-preserved setup. The headliner is in good shape, and the front floors are covered with rubber matting laid over the carpet. This would be a very cool and comfortable car to cruise in-especially with a rear bench seat that looks more like a couch from your living room than a traditional car seat.Under the hood is a clean-looking 239 Flathead V8 equipped with a single-barrel carburetor on a stock manifold. It's mated to a three-speed manual transmission that sends power to a Ford Banjo rear axle. Suspension consists of a front cross-over leaf spring with shocks. The rear features shocks, while a crossmember frame support ties everything together. Chrome 15-inch smoothie wheels are wrapped in Sentury Touring 205/65R15 tires up front and Toyo 800 Ultra Touring 225/75R15 tires in the rear. Drum brakes are used on all four corners to bring this classic cruiser to a stop. For that unmistakable old-school hot rod sound, shorty headers, dual exhaust, and chambered mufflers handle the soundtrack.Highlights:239 Flathead V8Three-Speed Manual TransmissionFord Banjo Rear Axle15-Inch Smoothie WheelsSentury Touring 205/65R15 Tires - 2020Toyo 800 Ultra Touring Tires - 2001Shorty Headers, Dual Exhaust, Chambered MufflersHigh-Mounted Side MirrorsPin StripesBlue Dot Tail lightsDual Polished Tail PipesHeatAM RadioThis cool cruiser has plenty of potential to deliver some great times out on the road.
