1970 Cadillac DeVille

The DeVille from Cadillac has been produced over 8 generations and the name was derived from a French phrase translating to "of the town". It was originally a trim level but later became its own series and was Cadillac's mainstream model. This 1970 was the last year for the 3rd generation and in that year the cars received a facelift. Previous models had stacked headlights but this year has the horizontal double lights as well as a new grill with a cross-hatch design with 13 vertical bars. There was also an option to have the body color extend up to the vinyl top. This 1970 DeVille is an un-restored car that has a lot of potential. The body is solid and painted in its original Medium Turquoise paint. This is paired with a Black vinyl top that is also original. The factory chrome and stainless trim is all mounted in place and is in fair condition. In place of the original DeVille emblem it has a lead sled emblem in place. The intention was to turn the car into a major custom but other projects have taken priority requiring its sale. Its original wheels with hubcaps are in place and wrapped in thin Yellow line tires. It also comes with the rear fender skirts.

These Cadillacs received the large 472 V8 motor which this one still has under the hood. The car does run and drive. It has an automatic transmission and all of the brakes/suspension components are the stock set up. The car does come with some extra parts which are currently stored in the trunk. Being a Caddy it has all of the standard luxury features of the time like power brakes, power steering, air conditioning, and cruise control.

The interior is the original Adriatic Turquoise which is showing its age as expected. It is the original two tone style with the luxury insert pattern. Cadillac was getting pretty advanced with the features they offered because on the doors it also has power windows, window locks, power locks, and even mirror controls.

This Cadillac would be a great base for restoration as everything is there. Since it does run/drive fine you could also tinker with it and improve things while getting to steal enjoy it.
